Conto Beach in Western Australia

Conto Beach

Conto Beach

We have driven down Caves Road many times but we had never turned into Conto Road. We thought it just lead to one of the many caves in the area. Conto road is just short of the Boranup forest when you are traveling south on caves Road.

We came to a caravan park and the road continued down to the Conto Beach. The road is well formed but has a lot of corrugations in it, an ordinary 2 wheel drive vehicle can get there easily but you will need to take it slowly. Well, what a surprise we had when we saw this beautiful part of the coast. The rocky shoreline was quite rugged and very spectacular.

I was soon at work with the camera, a Canon 80D, and I was like a kid in a candy shop. There was another great scene around each corner so we ended up spending about 3 hours there. It was a great day out and especially when we were not expecting the type of scenery we came across.
